SIERRA SKY GARDENS
Tierney Brandon is a South Dakota native who, from a young age, loved being outside and collecting everything from rocks to flowers to plants and making arrangements of them in her parent's yard. After graduating college, she remained in California, where she developed a deep appreciation and knowledge of California flora and fauna - and kept collecting.
Tierney started Sierra Sky Gardens in 2021 in the hopes that selling plants could make people happy during the Covid-19 lockdowns. What started as a side hobby became a passion and obsession which evolved into a small entrepreneurial business. She thrives on finding and curating a broad, unique selection of small plants, primarily focusing on succulents and cacti. She also propagates and grows many plants herself from her own personal collection, combining them into beautiful arrangements.
When Tierney moved to the Eastern Sierra in 2024, she brought her collection of both native and exotic cacti and succulents with her, which now happily reside in a sturdy, warm greenhouse at 8,200 feet. Since moving to the Eastern Sierra, she has rekindled her love of arranging natural wood, pine cones, and flora in imaginative ways, developing a range of interior decor uniquely suited for mountain cabin life, while also uniquely infusing these montane elements with the sturdy, exotic diversity of her succulent and cacti collections.
